J.M. Strange & Company respects you and your right to privacy. We value your trust, and we want you to know about our policies and procedures for protecting the privacy of your nonpublic personal information that we receive in connection with our insurance and bonding services and your rights and responsibilities regarding such information. This notice explains your nonpublic personal information in our records. We reserve the right to amend, modify or supplement our privacy policy at any time in accordance were the law applies. - Information related to your proposed or current transactions with us and our contracted insurers, such as payment history, underwriting and claims information;
- Information that we receive from nonaffiliated third parties, such as, insurance and bonding companies, banks, your CPA or Attorney.
- Information that we receive from consumer reporting agencies.
- What We Do With Information We Collect About You.
We may disclose information about you to the insurance or bonding companies we represent for the purposes of providing and servicing insurance policies and surety bonds. We will not disclose the nonpublic information about you in our records to any organization not affiliated or contracted with J.M. Strange & Company without your prior authorization.
- Who Has Access To Your Information In Our Records.
We maintain appropriate physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect against unauthorized access to your nonpublic personal information contained in our records. Access to such information is restricted to individuals who need to know the information to service your account or provide products and services to you. We will educate our employees about the terms of this Notice and the importance of confidentiality and consumer privacy. Employees who gain unauthorized access to your nonpublic personal information in our records or otherwise violate our privacy policy will be subject to our disciplinary process, which may include termination of employment.
- How Can You Review The Information We Have About You.
You have the right to review and receive a copy of your personal information in our records. If you believe any information in our records is incorrect you may request in writing that the information be amended, corrected or deleted. We will investigate and amend, correct or delete the information you believe is incorrect if we can substantiate the error. If we do not correct the information, you have the right to file with us a written statement of dispute, which we will include, in any future disclosure of that information by us.
